Northern Alps, Tateyama Mountain Range, Mount Ryuo, 2,872m (Toyama Prefecture)

We visited Mount Tateyama in the Northern Alps at the same time as last year, also to test our gear. In late October, the peak of autumn foliage had passed, and the mornings and evenings were cold, with few people around and the tent sites all to ourselves.

From the main peak, Mt. Oyama (3,003m) to the highest peak, Mt. Oonangi (3,015m)

On this hike, we put the newly released HYBRID BALACLAVA to the test, wearing it constantly and reaffirming its ease of use and breathability. It also helped us cope with the biting cold wind that is typical of this time of year.

At Raichozawa Campground, which is less crowded at this time of year, you can set up a tarp. This is useful when the weather is unstable. (Please take into consideration the crowds and other factors when setting up, and remember to be considerate of your surroundings.) Just like last year, it rained every day of our three-day trip. Fortunately, it was sunny during the day.

Until now, balaclavas have only been used in certain situations, but the HYBRID BALACLAVA can be worn all day long without any discomfort. Why not try it as a new option for headgear?
